Deckit ("we", "us", "our", or "Company") is committed to protecting your privacy.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and safeguard your information when you use our website and services (the "Service").

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the information we collect for various purposes, including:

• To allow you to create, import, edit and manage presentations and related content
• To personalize your experience and show relevant features
• To communicate with you about updates, security alerts and changes to our services

We do not sell your personal information or your presentation content.

HOW WE USE GOOGLE DATA (API SERVICES & LIMITED USE)

Deckit's use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

In particular:

• We only access Google Drive files that you explicitly select or that are clearly needed to provide a feature you initiate (for example, "Import from Google Drive").
• We use data obtained from Google APIs solely to provide and improve Deckit features for you, such as importing and rendering your presentations and enabling AI-assisted editing.
• We do not use data obtained from Google's restricted scopes to serve ads.
• We do not sell or transfer data obtained from Google APIs to third parties, except to service providers acting on our behalf under appropriate data protection agreements.
• We do not use data obtained from Google APIs to build or train generalized models that are used outside of your Deckit experience, unless we first obtain your explicit consent.

If you disconnect Deckit from your Google account, we will stop accessing your Google data going forward. You can also delete imported decks from within Deckit, which deletes our stored copy (subject to reasonable backup retention).

HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION

We may share information in the following situations:

• Service providers: With third-party vendors who help us operate, host and support the Service (such as cloud hosting, analytics and email providers). These providers may only use your information to perform services on our behalf.
• Legal and safety: If required by law or if we believe disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of Deckit, our users or the public, or to detect and prevent fraud or security issues.
• Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of all or a portion of our business, subject to standard confidentiality obligations.

We do not share your personal information or User Content with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

DATA SECURITY

We implement reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. These measures may include encryption, secure servers and access controls.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

DATA RETENTION

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide the Service and for other legitimate business purposes, including:

• While your account is active
• For as long as your presentations and other content are stored in your Deckit workspace
• For the time needed to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements

You may request deletion of your account and associated data as described below.

YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including:

• The right to access the personal information we hold about you
• The right to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
• The right to request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain legal exceptions
• The right to object to or restrict certain processing

• The right to opt out of marketing communications

You can also opt out of marketing emails at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in those emails.

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Our Service is not directed to children under 13 (or a higher age as required by local law), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child, we will take steps to delete it.

INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

Your information may be processed and stored on servers located in countries other than the one in which you reside. These countries may have data protection laws that are different from those in your country. Where required by law, we take appropriate safeguards to protect your information when it is transferred internationally.
